Vice Minister hears former employees of Telecom


BOGOTA-July 12. The Deputy Minister for Labour Affairs said he will examine the case of former employees of Telecom to intervene with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of ICT to find ways of solution to this sector of Colombians who were violently pulled from their offices by military command nine years ago, during Uribe Administration.
He immediately announced he would meet with Labour Minister Rafael Pardo, following a meeting with directors of  CUT (
the Confederation of Workers of Colombia affiliated to ITUC), on Thursday July 12 at the headquarters of the Ministry to the north of Bogota.
Due the alleged violations against former Telecom workers have a large volume of legal documents, in the coming days an adviser to the Deputy Minister of Labor Relations will be studying the background to give his opinion.
The former workers expect 
Promt justice on the actions for protection of human rights of former employees tested in the Constitutional Court of Colombia for more than two years is expected.
So the Free Trade Agreement rooled-out with no conformances related with fundamental rights of Colombian workers.
